Heather Renée Sweet (born September 28, 1972), known professionally as Dita Von Teese, is an American vedette, burlesque dancer, model, and businesswoman. She is credited with re-popularizing burlesque performance, earning the title "Queen of Burlesque" I have in this "Viva La Vita Dita" serie like in my earlier Helmut Newton Homage serie titled " NEW-ton " used the same images repeatedly in a Andy Warhol tradition having done works for Andy in the 1980's.
I met Dita already in London before she made it in the 90s , perfoming in the same clubs like TG's Torture Garden Brixton and I gave her on her 30th birthday in Camden in an American Restaurant where we had dinner a rare vintage box of Fully Fashioned Stockings with "Ballerina" printed on the welt of the stocking. I also gave her the idea to have a stocking manufacture to put her name on the stocking top so she would have free stockings for the rest of her life . She did. The rest is history.
